The St. Alaric Institute of Arts and Design was born from a radical realization: the traditional 40-hour high school week is starving our most creative minds of the time they need to actually create. For decades, artistically gifted students have been forced to relegate their true passions to the margins of their days, squeezing filmmaking, photojournalism, and spatial design into exhausted weekend hours. St. Alaric was founded to dismantle this archaic model. We knew that if we could streamline a rigorous, university-bound academic core into highly focused, 6- to 12-hour weekly blocks, we could hand the rest of the week back to the student. We built this institute to be a space where creative drive isn’t treated as an after-school hobby, but as the central, defining focus of a young professional’s life.
